Is our shop magic? Probably. The combination of bookstore and cafe is a marvelous thing to behold. We carry thoughtfully chosen, varied and unique books, located on both the main and second floors of the store.

Special Orders

Special orders are welcome and we will pay the cost of shipping.  It delights us to search out and find the books you’re yearning for, if you can’t find it, we can, faster and more efficiently than your standard online monster. Most new book orders take between 4-9 business days.

We pride ourselves on being able to track down and order out of print and hard to find titles. In fact, we love it. These special books often travel from overseas all the way to our little paradise and can therefore take a little longer.

True to all things Bacchus, our well read and uber knowledgeable staff are happy to make suggestions while engaging in off kilter and witty banter.

Frequent Buyer and Used Credit Programs

Shop local, read a lot, be rewarded!

Frequent Buyer points are credited to your account every time you make a purchase at the regular price – whether it’s from our shelves or a special order – make sure we have your name so that you’re in the system. When the credit on your account reaches $10.00 or more, you can either use it against your next purchase at the store or let your points continue to grow.

Used Credit is applied to your name when you bring books in for trade. You bring us used books, we give you credit to put towards used books already in the store. We are constantly replenishing our used book stock, and are delighted if you wish to take part in our Used Credit program, or if you want to simply donate your previously loved books.

Online Shop

Visit our online shop where you can browse what’s available and place your order online. Perfect for those middle of the night book craving. Once we receive your order, we will confirm via email and then give you a call once your order has arrived. Then, you can come by the store to pick up, pay and see our smiling booky faces!
